Jeff grew up in Iowa, where he studied psychology, history, and mathematics at Luther College. After moving to Atlanta in 1989, he worked in the fields of mental health and behavior therapy for several years. Upon completing post-baccalaureate studies in secondary education, English, and social studies at Georgia State University, Jeff began teaching at Stockbridge High School in Henry County. He joined Ben Franklin in 1998 in the clinic, and started teaching full time in 1999. Jeff teaches English, Government, and Economics. He serves as an Academic Advisor, Technical Director to the Franklin Players, and an Assistant Dean. Jeff is married to an elementary teacher, and together they have two daughters. Outside of work, he enjoys camping, hiking, travel, reading, softball, and spending time with family.
