Mission | History | Testimonials | Facilities | College Guidance & Acceptances A Letter from the Headmaster
We believe that we have built a mainstream high school of real excellence, centered around individualized instruction for students fourteen to eighteen in grades 9-12. At BFA, highly qualified, talented and caring teachers lead students through the Georgia Board of Regents' College Preparatory Curriculum. BFA is dually accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and by Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS). We are members of AAAIS, GHSA, GISA and the Coalition of Essential Schools, a national network of schools committed to redesigning their instructional programs to ensure that students demonstrate mastery over essential skills and areas of knowledge. We work to understand each student's unique needs, interests and learning style and develop an individualized instructional program to meet those needs. My colleagues and I invite you to look over our web site and call us if you have any questions about enrollment, fees, or any other matter. We are able to offer year-round admission since our program is so individualized for each student. For questions or to schedule a campus visit, please call Dr. Martha Burdette or me at 404-633-7404. I hope you will enjoy our website. Wood Smethurst, Ed.D.
