Biography

James hails from Bristol, England, but made Atlanta his home after a year as a Bobby Jones Scholar at Emory University, a postgraduate exchange between Emory and the University of St Andrews in Scotland where he earned his undergraduate degree in Mathematics. He joined the BFA faculty in 2007 where he founded the Golf program, Music Program including the Jazz/Funk ensemble, Folk/Rock ensemble, and Green Club, and taught Mathematics, Economics, Entrepreneurship, and Accounting for 5 years. James recently passed Level 3 of the rigorous Chartered Financial Analyst program, and also runs accelerator programs for early-stage, for-profit, social enterprises. He serves on the board of AMP (Atlanta Music Project), and also works for an impact investment fund based in Atlanta.
