Ben Franklin Music Program

The Ben Franklin Academy Music Program has expanded rapidly in recent years with an enthusiastic faculty and talented student body. Students may take music performance classes taught by professional instructors and performers, many of whom also hold positions at Emory University, Agnes Scott and other colleges and music schools in Atlanta. Students may take a wide range of performance classes, including Jazz Piano, Voice, Saxophone, Classical Guitar, and Violin. We also offer classes in Music Theory and Music Appreciation.

The program includes two popular music performance bands, Jazz Band and Rock Band. The bands meet Tuesdays from 3:45 - 5:30 (Jazz Band), and Thursdays from 3:45 - 6:00pm (Rock Band), and perform at various events during the school year. The bands cover material from the 20's to the present day, and even the occasional student composition.
