Graduation Requirements

As a college preparatory school, Ben Franklin's graduation requirements correspond to those mandated by the Georgia Board of Regents' College Preparatory Curriculum (CPC). BFA graduates qualify for HOPE scholarships if their core grade point average meets State criteria.

*Currently, the Board of Regents' CPC requirements are:

English 4 credits
Mathematics 4 credits
Science 3 credits (must include at least one laboratory course from the life sciences and one laboratory course from the physical sciences)
Social Studies 3 credits (must include a credit in American History, a credit in World History, and two 1/2 courses in economics and government, respectively)
Foreign Language 2 credits (must be in the same language)
Academic Electives 5 credits (must be Georgia Board of Regents' CPC approved courses)

In addition, BFA requires that students fulfill their Work-Study requirement by working at least 150 hours per semester in a paid or volunteer job.

*These credits are the minimum number of courses for graduation.
