Athletics Program
Despite the fact that we have a small student body and two distinct sessions, BFA has fielded competitive teams in a variety of sports.
We compete in the A classification of the Georgia High School Association, playing primarily other small private schools in the Atlanta area.
We have offered basketball, golf, intramural soccer, tennis, cross-country, track and fieldand ultimate Disc.

BFA Golf Coach
The Ben Franklin Academy Golf Program is designed to cater to the needs of students of all abilities, from complete beginners to scratch handicappers.
The program consists of regular coaching sessions throughout the academic year, practice rounds, varsity matches, and culminates with the regional championships in April. Range coaching sessions are held at the Grand Slam Driving Range, and our home courses are Bobby Jones GC, North Fulton GC, and Charlie Yates GC. Students with less experience practice at Candler Park golf course.
In addition to swing coaching, short game lessons, and course management, we educate the students in etiquette, rules, and sportsmanship.
In 2005 the team was regional champions and placed 8th overall statewide.

BFA Basketball Coach
The BFA Basketball Team was founded in 1993 to provide our students with an outlet to develop teamwork skills, sportsmanship, enjoy friendly competition, and all while working on their personal fitness.
The team has typically a J.V. schedule and plays against other smaller, private schools in Atlanta. The program is coeducational and has a no-cut policy.
