An Expanded Home for Achieving the Possible Campaign

Help Ben Franklin Academy Achieve the Possible!

2017 will be a milestone year for BFA for many reasons. This year marks Ben Franklin’s 30th anniversary in Atlanta – three decades of fostering a progressive, nurturing educational environment for our caring community of learners. As part of our vision for Ben Franklin’s future, we continue to raise money for our $1.75 million An Expanded Home for Achieving the Possible Capital Campaign.

The campaign will support enhancements to BFA's facilities, including:

  • the expansion of specialized learning spaces for hands-on experimentation, specifically in the arts and sciences;
  • conference and work room additions providing flexible spaces for study, instruction, testing, and meetings, as well as an elevator for increased accessibility;
  • outdoor spaces to both beautify the school and create more gathering spaces on campus; and
  • new technology and new furniture to keep our current classrooms both functional and comfortable.

We are pleased to share that we have raised more than $1.55 million in commitments to date, including an exciting matching grant opportunity.

The Lettie Pate Evans Foundation has generously committed $500,000 in campaign support, contingent on BFA raising $1.75 million by March 2017. We are almost there! To date, we have received generous support from our Board, current parents, local foundations, and friends of BFA. With less than $200,000 left to raise, we are confident that, with your support, we can meet this match and Achieve the Possible!

With committed funds, preliminary site and design work was completed this summer, and BFA anticipates that with full funding, construction will be complete by the start of the 2017-2018 school year.

Thank you to our donors!
