Annual Fund
The Annual Fund plays a vital role in Ben Franklin Academy’s ability to provide exceptional
academic resources and address needs that extend beyond what tuition alone can
support. The strength of our school is built upon the commitment and generosity of our
community, and we are deeply grateful to the dedicated supporters who help create an
environment where every student can learn, grow, and reach their fullest potential.
2026-2027 Annual Fund
Gifts to the 2026–2027 Annual Fund will directly support technology enhancements and
upgrades aligned with BFA’s STEAM initiatives. This includes investments in computer
hardware and software to enhance coursework, updated lab materials, and tools to
support teacher development.
In addition, the Annual Fund will continue to provide need-based scholarships through the
Wood Smethurst Scholarship Fund. This meaningful program honors the legacy of our
beloved “Doc” Smethurst, co-founder of Ben Franklin Academy, while advancing BFA’s
longstanding commitment to academic inclusion and ensuring that deserving students
have access to the opportunities a Ben Franklin Academy education provides.
